Well Well Well !!!!

It has been some time since my last post... life has been frantic, and to be honest I haven't been able to tear myself away from my new series of books ... WOW!! that's all I can say.. I have no words to describe it other than WOW!!

I've been thinking about what it is that makes these male characters in "these" books seem so irresistible... and if you dig a little deeper, beyond the descriptive picture the author paints for you... I think it's their authority and power more than anything else..

The fact that they are in control and although you know deep down you should say no... you just can't - curiosity and all that...

Never experienced any of this myself though, so I wonder how I would react??

My running music is now crafted to a fine art and I have some really good songs in it that help me along the way... but I am going to have to remove just one song from the list temporarily though.... I love the song but it is a bit distracting..... Bruno Mars "Gorilla"... if you haven't heard it, you should..

Everyone has a dirty song.... don't you????

Another night on the Town.... Can i handle it !!!!

Yes it seems my younger counterparts have surfaced and are keen to go out again this Saturday night.. So am I up for it again???  Why not.  I don't get to do this very often and I'm sure I can handle one more night out on the Town... and besides its a long weekend ahead so I will have more time to recover... Of course now  I will need to find something to wear.... Any suggestions??? Thankfully I wont have any snow to deal with this weekend - well so far there is none forecast which means I wont freeze half as much..  and of course it will be safer walking around in heels.. Well some shopping is on the cards the next few days I think.. Question is can these young ones keep up with me???  I hope so - but they don't seem to make them like they used too...

Run Run Run!!!

Sunday 9 June - my Race for Life.. I was ready, even after my little holiday, even though I didn't get much running in during the holiday I did a fair amount of walking and I managed to be good and not over indulge in anything other than Thrill Rides :-) Got to Abington ready to hit the ground running so to speak... It was a cool morning overcast with a slight breeze blowing.  Everyone around me had coats and jumpers on... I didn't need one I was so excited for this run... Run started and it was going well,  however, I don't know why so many women decide to start with the runners in the front of the race only to end up walking the rest of the way... due to this I had to overtake large groups of walkers along the way who tend to walk on the flat even path.  This means I need to overtake them on uneven surfaces, half way round I managed to twist my ankle. This wasn't going to stop me finishing the race though, so I carried on through the pain and completed it in 7

The day after the night before...

Well I survived the night out and had a great time... Even though I literally froze my butt off while walking from one place to the next... I stuck to the plan and wore my chosen outfit, and was glad I took the black leather jacket with to keep me warm during our walk from one place to the next.. Started off with a few drinks (a couple of glasses of wine and about 3 Raspberry sours shooters before we went out), meant that i didn't feel the cold too much - I'd hate to think how it would have been if I was completely sober. The only downside to the evening was when, at one of the venues, I went to the little girls room to look for my friend who's birthday it was, and after making a wee* (excuse the pun)  pit stop myself, when I returned to the bar I noticed that the group of 8 or so had left... No way.... They have left me behind... I was not happy..  although I had an idea as to what the next stop would be, I had no idea on how to get there and in which direction I s
