Intense Zumba!!!

Last nights Zumba session was hard work...  The instructor made sure that that I would wake up this morning and remember that I have triceps and Abdominal muscles.. So far my leg seems to be coping with all I have been putting it through, last thing I need now is a relapse and being told not to exercise!! Don't even want to entertain the thought, so I have been making sure that I stretch out sufficiently after each running and Zumba session.  At the end of our sweaty session, yes you heard me  " sweaty" session,  we were told that next week would be an intense Zumba class... Interesting, was this not intense enough??? Oh no..... an intense Zumba session means  NO air con and HEAT on... WHAT???   Well it will help burn off some more fat I guess.. but will I be up for it next week.  I mean, I will be out late on Monday night with work, will I have the stamina to keep up???  Oh what the hell.... I'll give it a go and hope  come out the other side intact albeit soa

My Taste in Music??

I was asked a very interesting question over the weekend.  What type of music do you listen to?? Mmmm naturally there isn't just one type, as many will know I have an eclectic collection of music ranging from classical, rock, dance and so on.. (although you will not find any modern rap in my collection that is the one type I dislike). I like music that moves my soul.. makes me feel something deep inside.. music i can get lost in.. nothing better than listening to some deep sultry music on my iPod while reading my latest book..(I've finished book 1 in the series.. interesting climax, excuse the pun.. getting into book 2 so watch this space..) So what shaped my music preferences? ... well my rock side comes from my child hood idol I guess, "Suzi Quatro"  yes I am old enough to know who she is.  I loved her have all her records and used to listen to her music at the loudest volume allowed by my parents at the age of 5...  I went to see her in Concert when I was 6

Long awaited run!!!

After a 2 week forced time out from any form of exercise following IT Band Syndrome.. Now for those that don't know what that is, let me give you a quick run down... Basically it's a running injury, if I found more time to stretch out properly after my extensive running sessions I wouldn't have had the injury.  Doctors orders was 2 weeks no exercise, lots of extensive stretching and Do-It-Yourself tennis ball physio, it was hell.  For those that know me well, any forced time off from exercise I don't deal with very well at all, but having to then roll a tennis ball into my upper thigh and Gluteus Medius, firmly enough to bring tears to my eyes helping to break up the deep tissue knotting I had and relax the Ilitobial Tract wasn't pleasant... Yes I have been avoiding the injury for some months just hoping it would go away on its own, so I only have myself to blame Saturday morning was time to break my exercise ban and go for my first run, I was up early got ready
