First Weekend without the munchkins

Well this is it, Friday is here and the weekend is upon us..  I am now left wondering what I will be doing this weekend to pass the quiet time without Jarred and Tamzin to keep me busy.  No dancing to run to and from, no homework to contend with, no playing games in the garden.....  Although I miss my munchkins terribly the first week has flown by, and not having them to run around makes me realise so much more how being a mother really is a full time job, and also how much they complete me every day....

Ok no more soppyness  -  So what shall I do this weekend......



If the weather is nice I think I may relax in the sun for a little while and absorb the warm rays and maybe welcome a bit of colour to my cheeks....




Or I could just get on with reading book number 2 - that will certainly bring some colour to my cheeks ;-)

What ever I decide to do I am sure I will make it more fun just by being in it..

Another night on the Town.... Can i handle it !!!!

Yes it seems my younger counterparts have surfaced and are keen to go out again this Saturday night.. So am I up for it again???  Why not.  I don't get to do this very often and I'm sure I can handle one more night out on the Town... and besides its a long weekend ahead so I will have more time to recover... Of course now  I will need to find something to wear.... Any suggestions??? Thankfully I wont have any snow to deal with this weekend - well so far there is none forecast which means I wont freeze half as much..  and of course it will be safer walking around in heels.. Well some shopping is on the cards the next few days I think.. Question is can these young ones keep up with me???  I hope so - but they don't seem to make them like they used too...

Run Run Run!!!

Sunday 9 June - my Race for Life.. I was ready, even after my little holiday, even though I didn't get much running in during the holiday I did a fair amount of walking and I managed to be good and not over indulge in anything other than Thrill Rides :-) Got to Abington ready to hit the ground running so to speak... It was a cool morning overcast with a slight breeze blowing.  Everyone around me had coats and jumpers on... I didn't need one I was so excited for this run... Run started and it was going well,  however, I don't know why so many women decide to start with the runners in the front of the race only to end up walking the rest of the way... due to this I had to overtake large groups of walkers along the way who tend to walk on the flat even path.  This means I need to overtake them on uneven surfaces, half way round I managed to twist my ankle. This wasn't going to stop me finishing the race though, so I carried on through the pain and completed it in 7

The day after the night before...

Well I survived the night out and had a great time... Even though I literally froze my butt off while walking from one place to the next... I stuck to the plan and wore my chosen outfit, and was glad I took the black leather jacket with to keep me warm during our walk from one place to the next.. Started off with a few drinks (a couple of glasses of wine and about 3 Raspberry sours shooters before we went out), meant that i didn't feel the cold too much - I'd hate to think how it would have been if I was completely sober. The only downside to the evening was when, at one of the venues, I went to the little girls room to look for my friend who's birthday it was, and after making a wee* (excuse the pun)  pit stop myself, when I returned to the bar I noticed that the group of 8 or so had left...
